The Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) is seeking individuals who would like to influence provincial health and social research to join the MCHP Public Engagement Group. This volunteer group will act in an advisory capacity, working in partnership with MCHP leadership and researchers to ensure that the needs and priorities of the public are considered in research conducted at MCHP.

What do Public Engagement Group members do?

Members of the Public Engagement Group work in partnership with MCHP researchers to:

• Shape the direction of new research initiatives
• Discuss upcoming research projects and ensure the needs and priorities of the
  public are reflected in the research
• Help to identify possible areas of need  and opportunity for public
  health and social policy

What is the time commitment?

The Public Engagement Group will meet four times a year. Each meeting will run for approximately two hours. An orientation will be held before the first meeting to help group members become more familiar with MCHP and the type of research we do.
