PROGRAMMING ALTERNATIVES
Several tools have been developed at the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy and
Evaluation (in pdf format) to explore alternatives to programming
offered by SAS:
- SAS Analyst: general guidelines
to acquaint the user with this environment, its terminology, and
its commands. A tutorial has also
been developed to illustrate how to use Analyst to perform the
same basic data analyses shown in the "Using SAS Programming To."
section of this website.
- SAS Insight: a manual to introduce the user to
this component of SAS Assist (another menu-driven interface to the SAS System).
Another general tutorial is also available from SAS
System Help.
