Definition:
This refers to the movement of individuals between provinces or states within a country, with the intention of settling permanently or temporarily. In Canada, internal migration is referred to as "interprovincial migration", which is the move from one Canadian province or territory to another. Interprovincial migration applies to both immigrants (after landing in Canada) and non-immigrants.
