Definition:

The Status Verification System (SVS) is a national database maintained by the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) headquarters that contains a complete list of Registered Indians and recognized Innu/Inuit clients eligible for benefits under Non-Insured Health Benefits Program (NIHB).
