Definition:

A computerized system used to help triage (or prioritize) patients when they arrive in an Emergency Department (ED). E triage uses information about the patient's condition to assign each patient a score from one (resuscitation) to five (non-urgent) based on the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) classification system.
