Definition:

Conditional logistic regression (CLR) is primarily used in case-control or retrospective studies where a study participant with a particular condition or treatment (i.e., case) is matched to a study participant without that condition or treatment (i.e., control). The procedure is used to test the probability of having a particular condition or treatment while controlling for other covariates.
