Glossary Definition

Last Updated: 2012-10-04

Definition:

A projection of PCH bed equivalents that combine the current use rates for age/sex specific groups with the projected age/sex population for a region (RHAs in this study). The annual number of days is summed across the six age/sex groups to give a total number of PCH equivalent days required for the region for each year. This total is then divided by 365 to convert the days into the number of beds required for the year.
