Definition:
Due to an outbreak of the Monkeypox virus across the globe in 2022, new tariff and ICD-10-CA diagnosis codes were added to certain data sets in the Manitoba Population Research Data Repository, as follows:

Tariff Rates and Descriptions - a new immunization code was added to the tariff rates and description data - September 2022 - Immunization for smallpox/monkeypox - single dose - tariff code 8699. (Manitoba Health - September 16, 2022)
- a new ICD-10-CA diagnosis code was added by CIHI - B04 - Monkeypox. This will be available in the Hospital Abstracts data in November 2022. (CIHI, ICD-10-CA Coding Direction for Monkeypox Virus - September 16, 2022.
