Forced (or unvoluntary) migration occurs when people do not choose to move, and are coerced to do so due to different reasons beyond their control, such as conflicts within their country of origin, fear of violation to their human rights, physical safety, persecution, or natural or environmental disasters, chemical or nuclear disasters, famine, or development projects. Forced migration may entail refugees and internally displaced persons. Internally displaced persons are those forced to move but within the borders of the same country.
