Definition:
A weapons prohibition order prohibits a convicted person from using or possessing restricted or prohibited firearms, crossbows, prohibited devices, ammunition, prohibited ammunition and explosive substances. Section 109 of the Canadian Criminal Code makes a weapons prohibition order mandatory for any person convicted of certain types of violent offences.
