Definition:

Telehealth is the process of using information and communications technologies (ICTs) to deliver health information, services and expertise over short and long distances. Telehealth applications are important tools for enhancing health care delivery, particularly in rural and remote areas where health care resources and expertise are often scare or non-existent. Examples of Telehealth: teleconsultation such as telemedicine, teleimaging, telepsychiatry.
