Definition:

The preterm birth rate is expressed as the percent of live births with a gestational age of less than 37 completed weeks out of all live births in Manitoba hospitals (ICD–10–CA code Z38). Records with gestational age missing, less than 20 weeks, or greater than 45 weeks were excluded.
