Definition:

Longitudinal administrative data may be used to evaluate exposure effects over a lifespan. Life course research is directed toward examining aspects of family background and the environment which may affect well being during childhood and later in life. The Early Development Instrument (EDI) can measure a child's developmental status at kindergarten. Analytical possibilities will increase as linkages are performed at younger cohort ages.
