The number of ambulatory physician visits a patient makes in a year. Patients are classified into 3 levels of visit intensity: 1) 1-7 visits, 2) 8 - 14 visits, and 3) 15 or more visits.

The total number of ambulatory physician visits made by residents of a region, divided by the total number of people in that region, multiplied by 100.
