Term: Home Care per diem
Glossary Definition
Last Updated: 2005-11-21
Definition:
Derived by taking Manitoba Health's expenditures on home care and dividing that amount by the total number of home care days, as obtained from the Manitoba Support Services Payroll (MSSP) data file. It may underestimate home care costs at the end of life, given that the need for home care services is likely to increase at the end of life.
