Definition:
Any self-contained dwelling unit with at least one bedroom and considered to be a main residence (as opposed to seasonal or vacation home) irrespective of occupancy, need for renovation or repair. It may be a detached or semi-detached house, a mobile home, a row house or a multi-unit residence where each unit may be counted separately. Housing units are also classified based on their habitable status: Housing Units -Adequate, Housing Unit -Minor Renovation, Housing Unit -Major Renovation, Housing Units -Replacement.
