Defined according to the primary service codes, which refer to the hospital services under which the patient was treated for the greatest length of time. The following services were included: family medicine, internal medicine, allergy, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, respirology, rheumatology, oncology, and haematology.
