Definition:

A widely used program for early literacy in Manitoba schools, aimed at Grade 1 students having some difficulty with learning to read. This program is intensive and requires a teacher to work one-on-one or with small groups of children for several hours each week. There is a pre-test to enable teachers to pick the children with the greatest need for the program.
