This is the crude and adjusted mortality rate for residents age 50 and older with and without osteoporosis. Individuals were categorized as with or without osteoporosis in a three-fiscal-year period, and their mortality rate was calculated in the subsequent five-year period. The denominator is the Manitoba population age 50 and older who had at least three years of prior coverage and were registered with Manitoba Health until the end of the five-year period or death.
