Definition:
An administrative health database containing surgical wait times, patient demographics and clinical and/or functional information for total joint replacement surgeries performed in Winnipeg. The WRHA registry for Hip and Knee Replacement (HKR) was created to monitor patients waiting to undergo surgery. When a patient has decided to have surgery, his/her personal information and surgical procedure are added to the database. Additional self-reported patient information is collected from mail questionnaires.
