Definition:

Days in hospital is defined as the total length of stay of Manitoba residents during all inpatient hospitalizations discharged within a period. Inpatient stays which extended after the cutoff date were truncated to the number of days spent in hospital within the time period.

The rate of "days in hospital" is expressed per person, attributable to the cohort under investigation.
