Definition:

Crimes against persons is a category of crime that consists of offences involving bodily harm or a threat of bodily harm to another individual. These include homicide, attempted murder, robbery, assault, sexual assault, and other sexual offences, uttering threats, and criminal harassment. Crime data is obtained from the Winnipeg Police Service, Crime Statistics Unit.
