Definition:

The definition for Extended Disease Cluster (EDC) in the Johns Hopkins Adjusted Clinical Group® (ACG®) classification system was applied to group diagnosis codes that represented discrete clinical conditions or problems, for example hypertension, diabetes and schizophrenia.
