Definition:

The proportion of residents age 65 or older who received immunization for influenza ('the flu') in a fiscal year. Annual 'flu shots' are recommended for all seniors 65+, along with other target groups (see the term Influenza Vaccinations / Influenza Immunization for more information).

Over time, flu shots are defined by tariff codes 8791, 8792, 8793 and 8799 in the Manitoba Immunization Monitoring System (MIMS) data - (see NOTE below).
