Definition:

This dichotomous variable (0/1) is derived from the Year End Status field in the Education Information System (EIS) files. It was set to '1' if the Year End Status field contained the values 099 (Graduated), 100 (Graduated with diploma), 101 (Graduated with Provincial diploma), or 102 (Graduated with mature student diploma). Graduation flag was set to '0' for any other value, or if the Year End Status field was empty.

For a list of year end status codes and a description of each code used to identify graduates and other student situations at the end of a school year in Brownell et al. (2012), please see the Links section below (internal access only).
