Definition:

Service provider at the Cadham Provincial Laboratory. Responsibilities include screening for parasites and eggs (ova) that may cause or carry a disease. A parasite is a biological agent that lives on or within the host, simultaneously causing illness or disease. (Government of Manitoba, Cadham Provincial Laboratory - 2011).
