Definition:
The Metadata Repository is a documentation library that stores knowledge about the various databases that MCHP maintains in the Manitoba Population Research Data Repository (Repository). As a library, it provides a consistent set of documentation components for each database, including:

an overview description of each database;

data model diagram(s) to depict visually the relationships between datasets within a database;

data quality report(s) that evaluates the data element quality, illustrates data trends, and looks at the agreement and linkability of datasets;

a data dictionary that facilitates the presentation of statistical and descriptive details about each data element within a dataset;
-
links to project and source agency documents and reports, MCHP concepts and relevant validation studies about the data; and
-
a blog for content related discussions / notes about the data and databases.
