Definition:

The InSight Mentoring Program (IFASD) is a Healthy Child Manitoba (HCM) program aimed at decreasing the number of children born with FASD. The program is for women who are aged 18 years or older, have substance use problems, are pregnant (or have recently given birth and used alcohol or drugs during their pregnancy), and are not well-connected to community resources. The IFASD data contains program service information at the time of referral, intake, six month assessment and exit, including information on substance use, pregnancy, children, family history, medical and psychological issues, family planning, and the use of health and community services.
