This is an indicator measuring the rate of hospitalizations for a mental health related condition, identified by the most responsible diagnosis variable coded with any diagnosis code from Chapter 5 (Mental Disorders) in the ICD-9-CM code book or from Chapter 5 (Mental and Behavioural Disorders) in the ICD-10-CA code book.
