Definition:
The type of Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) an individual applies for and receives for their temporary residence in Canada. Permit types include Student Permits (SP), Work Permits (WP), and other Temporary Resident Permits (MP).
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) defines six numeric ID codes for permit types (4 for work permits, one each for the other two types):

Temporary resident permit holder
