Definition:
The date an individual receives their Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) in Canada. It should correspond to the "Date of Issue" or "Permit in force from" date written on the TRP. An individual is considered to have arrived in Canada on this date.
Sign date (SIGN_DT) is a variable that can be found in the
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Registry Database
data, in both the LEGACY and non-legacy (current) MP, SP, and WP files. These files make up the Temporary Resident Permit (IRCC-TRP) portion of the registry database.
