Definition:

A reserve is tract of land, the legal title to which is held by the Crown, set apart for the use and benefit of an Indian band. Some "bands" (Indian Act terminology) have more than one reserve. Many First Nations now prefer the term "First Nation community" or "First Nations" and no longer use "reserve"
