Definition:

The percentage / ratio of live born babies born in a Manitoba hospital with a Manitoba postal code or municipality code who were exclusively or partially breast fed (information recorded on the hospital discharge abstract), to the number of live born babies born in a Manitoba hospital with a Manitoba postal code or municipality code that have complete feeding information in the hospital discharge abstract. Stillborn births and records with missing breastfeeding initiation information are excluded.
