Last Updated: 2012-12-03
Definition:
In the MCHP Data Quality Framework, validity is a measure of data quality that indicates whether the data make sense. For more information on how validity applies to data quality, please see the internal validity and external validity glossary terms. Note that as a database-specific quality assessment, measures of validity are applied to the entire database; whereas for a project-specific quality assessment, they are applied to the cohort, region, or time period that is the focus of the project.
