Definition:

Hospital type is a way to define and categorize hospitals based on different characteristics and factors.

In MCHP research, different categories for hospital type have been used over time, depending on the purpose of the research. Please see the concept Hospital Types for a listing of MCHP research and the hospital type categories that were used in each research project.
