Concept: Personal Care Home (PCH) Bed Counts
Concept Description
Last Updated: 2001-09-12
Introduction
-
The numbers presented in the linked table below
LTC Bed Counts (1985-86 to 1998-99)
identify the number of Personal Care Home (PCH) beds found in Manitoba, for 1985/86 to 1989/99. The numbers are broken down by RHA, including the number of LTC beds, the total number of beds, the rate of beds per 1000, and the total population for the RHA. Federal PCHs have not been included in this list. The numbers represent the number of beds at the end of the fiscal year (March 31). Populations are based on the December snap shot of the Manitoba Health registry. The source of the bed numbers is the Manitoba Health Annuals Statistics 1985/86 to 1998/99. Years prior to the formation of the Regional Health Authorities (1996) the number of beds are based on the location of the PCH within an area that was to become an RHA.
Note: Current and historical bed counts can be obtained from the links below: Hospital / LTC Bed Counts (internal access only) or LTC Bed Counts (1985-86 to 1998-99) .
