Term: Fee-For-Service (FFS) Model of Primary Care
Last Updated: 2016-11-15
Over 80% of primary care services within Winnipeg are provided by independent, fee-for-service (FFS), primary care providers. While some FFS clinics participate in the
Physician Integrated Network (PIN)
initiative, most do not. This is the traditional model of primary care service delivery and remains the dominant model in Winnipeg. This model includes clinics providing full service family practice as well as walk-in clinics.
