The Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit (ICU) data contains episode information for critically ill individuals admitted to any of the adult ICUs in six Winnipeg hospitals. The types of ICUs include:

• Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU),
  
• Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU),
  
• Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IICU),
  
• Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU), and
  
• Critical Care Unit (CCU).
