Definition:

Administrative Health Databases were developed by provincial governments with the introduction of universal medical care insurance. The administrative health databases housed at MCHP contain anonymized records for virtually all contacts with the provincial health care system (including physicians, hospitals, personal care homes, home care, and pharmaceutical prescriptions).
