HEALTHY
CHILD MANITOBA |
In the Education Key Findings report (link at right)
we discussed the fit between resources and need, as
well as the importance of providing support to families,
particularly early on in a child's development. The
Healthy Baby Program offered by Healthy Child Manitoba
is a program specifically designed to provide support
to those who need it most, during the earliest part
of a child's development. For one part of the Healthy
Baby Program, prenatal benefits are delivered to pregnant
women based on net household income, and these data
are presented in the graph listed below. A second
part of the Healthy Baby Program offers informal drop-in
support groups for pregnant women and new families
(for more information, please go to the Healthy Child
Manitoba website at: http://www.gov.mb.ca/healthychild/).
