HEALTHY CHILD MANITOBA

In the Education Key Findings report (link at right) we discussed the fit between resources and need, as well as the importance of providing support to families, particularly early on in a child's development. The Healthy Baby Program offered by Healthy Child Manitoba is a program specifically designed to provide support to those who need it most, during the earliest part of a child's development. For one part of the Healthy Baby Program, prenatal benefits are delivered to pregnant women based on net household income, and these data are presented in the graph listed below. A second part of the Healthy Baby Program offers informal drop-in support groups for pregnant women and new families (for more information, please go to the Healthy Child Manitoba website at: http://www.gov.mb.ca/healthychild/).
