Definition:
A provincial government department responsible for providing health care services in Manitoba.
From April 1, 2008 to November 2009, this department was part of a larger department called Manitoba Health and Healthy Living (MHHL).
From February 2014 to April 2016 this department was part of a large department called Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors (MHHLS).
In April 2016, with a change in provincial government, this department is now part of a larger department called Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living (MHSAL).
In January 2021, the MHSAL department was split in two: one called Health and Seniors and the second being called Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery.
In January 2022 the Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery department was renamed to Mental Health and Community Wellness. Also in early 2022, the Health and Seniors department was split in two: one being called Manitoba Health and the second being called Seniors and Long-Term Care.
In October 2023, with a change in provincial government, this service is back to one department called Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care.
